A Voice-Producing System with Naturalness and Variable Multi-Frequency Vocalization for Patients Who Have Undergone Laryngectomy

Patients with advanced laryngeal cancer usually mist undergo total laryngectomy, which causes communication difficulties. Several voice-producing devices have been developed to assist such patients in restoring their ability speak. However, these produce monotonous sounds and require hand-held operation. A novel electronic system was thus proposed laryngectomy improving speech performance. By imitating normal human speech, the enables adjustment of fundamental frequency generated sound according changes lung pressure through exhalation; this different tones be produced. Moreover, is wearable convenient use. According experimental results, provides corresponding sentences outperforms existing implemented who had undergone resume basic activities.
